Journalist and former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal has been incarcerated on death row for twenty five years. Pacifica Radio marks that anniversary with a special program featuring Mumia himself in a rare interview. Other participants include Mumia's lead attorney Robert R. Bryan, actor and activist Danny Glover, journalist Dave Lindorff, and others.
The program looks at the miscarriage of justice in the case of Abu-Jamal, describes startling new evidence, and gives an update and analysis of the appeal for a new trial now being considered by a Federal Court. Pacifica's national special is especially timely as the nation and the world await the Third Circuit Court's ruling on Mumia's final appeal, a verdict expected at any time.

KPFA is part of a nationwide network of radio stations and affiliates known as the
Pacifica Network. The Pacifica Network is the only U.S. radio network with a democratically-elected governance structure. Our noncommercial broadcasting is listener-supported, and supported as well by more than 1000 staff members nationwide, most of them unpaid. The Pacifica Network has survived McCarthyite repression, investigation by the House Un-American Activities Committee, and attacks from reactionary forces in this country.
This important network needs the support of all its listeners as never before. One part of that support is to become involved with the election of the Local Station Boards of each station.
